On October 23, 2025, Amazon announced updated compliance requirements for water supply products (including pipes, solder, fittings, faucets, etc.) sold on the US site

•  Products must comply with the “lead-free” requirements defined by the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA);

•  They must be certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 (Drinking Water System Components – Health Effects, with lead content ≤0.25%) or NSF/ANSI/CAN 372 (Drinking Water System Components – Lead Content);

At the same time, Amazon has implemented a new “direct verification” policy. This requires sellers to undergo annual compliance verification through Amazon-approved third-party Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) organizations. Amazon will gradually notify affected sellers. Failure to complete the verification on time may result in product delisting and impact normal sales.
